When managing your enterprise’s cloud, you may want to treat multiple accounts as if they are part of one larger group. That’s why CloudCheckr offers Account Families. Using Account Families, you can apply changes to an entire family of accounts, with one click of a button. Additionally, you can generate reports for a group of accounts that belong to the same Account Family. What’s more, you can add accounts that have not yet populated the DBR (Detailed Billing Report) in advance, and they will be included in future reports.
Recent enhancements to CloudCheckr continue to make the Account Families process easier and more robust. One such enhancement is the addition of a project code field. This allows administrators to enter an internal project code or chargeback number to more easily map Account Families to accounting systems. This new project code field will begin populating on other reports in the coming releases, for AWS and Azure, as well as via new end points for the CloudCheckr Application Programming Interface (API).
Additionally, payment terms can be assigned to an entire account family. Those terms can then be used when generating invoices via CloudCheckr. Now, users can select a previously created custom charge directly from the Account Family screen. Admins no longer have to go to another page to assign custom charges, but can do it all from the same page.
