A new business model is emerging around Amazon Web Services. AWS partners are finding that they can manage and resell AWS infrastructure. They can easily spin up infrastructure as needed for an end client. As important, they can just as easily spin it down. In the past, an organization that needed to provide computing, storage, or database services to a client would need to buy hardware or rent servers under long term contracts.
The new AWS model allows resources to be used (and billed) on an hourly basis. This has created an opportunity for organizations to provide Cloud Broker services.
In this white paper, we will be addressing the challenge of billing for cloud broker services and demonstrating how CloudCheckr can help with this problem.
