Today marks the beginning of an important new chapter in CloudCheckr’s journey: we signed an agreement to be acquired by NetApp.
This next chapter for CloudCheckr will see two companies come together, with a shared vision and common beliefs around solving the challenges of managing public cloud for companies, managed service providers and resellers alike. Spot by NetApp, which NetApp acquired last year, has an extensive portfolio of products that are uniquely complemented by CloudCheckr, particularly for organizations with complex cloud environments and those that manage, sell and run cloud for others.
This acquisition will allow NetApp to expand and deepen its portfolio of offerings, specifically for FinOps and CloudOps, while at the same time providing CloudCheckr customers with additional options to help better manage, optimize and save or make money in their public cloud environments.
Together, Spot and CloudCheckr will deliver the leading platform to govern cloud infrastructure at scale – whether that infrastructure is consumed directly or via service providers and resellers. Spot’s ability to provide continuous runtime cost optimization, paired with CloudCheckr’s ability to provide total visibility, manage costs and ensure security, will allow customers to control, optimize and scale at the speed of the cloud.
As we went through this process it became clear that our two companies share a relentless focus on our customers and partners. I’m personally excited for our customers, partners and team. NetApp’s investment in this space is going to allow us to continue to build on CloudCheckr’s vision, accelerate our products and be a critical part of delivering a best-in-class, end-to-end platform to the market in the Spot by NetApp portfolio.
For CloudCheckr, this isn’t the end, but rather the beginning of a new phase of rapid growth and innovation for all of our employees, our products and most importantly, our customers and partners.
