AWS re:Invent Recap: Considerations for Hackproofing Your Cloud

We’re still recovering from a whirlwind week of AWS news and networking at re:Invent 2016! As always, we enjoyed the opportunity to discuss cloud cost, security, and automation with so many of our peers and customers.
It was especially great to see over 5% of all re:Invent attendees register for Aaron Newman’s session, Hackproofing Your Cloud.
If you missed the live session, download his slides to learn about important considerations and best practices for AWS cloud security.
Key pieces you will take away from the presentation include:

  • Clear perspective on data security (implications of hosting in the cloud versus old school data center models),
  • understanding of the shared responsibility model, and what you can do to make sure your cloud stays safe,
  • definition around internal versus external cloud security threats,
  • and expert insights on better leveraging the native AWS services you’re already using.
